Simply Bold Lips

As you can see, the main focus on this look is the lips- everything else is simple but lips POP! I wanted to create a wine red for the lips.

The lips are a combination of Urban Decay’s Lip Potion in “Greedy” and MAC Lipglass in “Utterly Tart” 🙂

Also,  currently obsessing over Lorac’s Special Effects mascara! I mixed it with MAC False Lash Extreme Black…Hands down,  one of my favorite combinations ever.

Enjoy! Don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any!

Make Up of the Day: “Heart’s a Mess”

Before I had ever started my blog,  I had mentioned on my Facebook and Instagram (before I deleted them) that often times when I create my make-up looks,  I am inspired by music!  So, today’s look was inspired by “Heart’s a Mess” by Gotye. Truly a beautiful song! As I listened to it, I thought of warm peaches, crimson reds, and smokey browns and greys.

The Creation:
I did my usual skin routine,  so I’m only going to touch on the cheeks, eyes, and lips !

Cheeks
*Bronzed with Laura Geller’s Balance n Bronze
*Highlight using a small amount of MAC “Frozen” Pigment
*A thin layer of Lancome “Nectar Lace” blush to create a warm,  peach undertone
*MAC “Scene to be Seen” Mineralize Blush on upper cheek
*”Vanilla Sugar” eyeshadow by Bare Minerals on the apple of the cheek,  blended upward for a smooth transition
*Highlight powder from Lancome’s “Nectar Lace” Palette right on top of the cheekbone for an all over peachy glow

Eyes
*MAC “Chrome Angel” Paint Pot to prime, a thin layer of Shady Lady’s Creasless Cream Shadow in “Devious” as a neutralizing base
*Lorac’s “Enchanted Ivory” as the all-over eyeshadow
*Bare Minerals “Queen Tiffany” in the crease and as the bottom liner
*”Celestine” blended on the lid, also by Bare Minerals
*Laura Mercier Mineral eyeshadow in “Smolder Bronze” in the corner/cut of crease to give depth
*”Cheers” by Bare Minerals as the Brow highlight
*Brows shaped and filled in using the “Taupe” pencil by Sonia Kashuk
*Top winged Gel Liner in “Ebony”, also by Sonia Kashuk
*Mascara is a blend of Lash Domination by Bare Minerals and Clinique High Impact, both in black

Lips
So simple this time!  All I used was “Confident” by Elle Michelle Cosmetics,  its the perfect crimson/brick red. Pressed in for a softer effect.
